About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join us at atNorth, to be part of our very exciting hypergrowth journey in Denmark!

In this role, you will take responsibility for processing and managing supplier invoices and purchases for the Danish entity, ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, compliance with Danish VAT regulations, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

As the only Accounts Payable Specialist based in Denmark, you’ll work independently while being part of an international finance team with colleagues in Sweden and Iceland. You’ll maintain regular communication with the Icelandic headquarters and cross-functional teams to support smooth financial operations. Your responsibilities will also include preparing VAT reports, tracking monthly journals, and assisting with both internal and external reporting. Establishing relationships with suppliers, tax authorities, and other authorities will be an essential part of ensuring accuracy and compliance in all processes.

About You:

You are a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a strong background in accounts payable. With at least 3 years of experience, you bring expertise in handling invoices, reconciliation, and VAT reporting. You are highly organized and have excellent problem-solving skills, with a passion for maintaining accuracy in financial records.

You thrive in an international environment, working collaboratively with colleagues across borders. You are fluent in Danish and English and bring strong communication skills to your interactions with suppliers and authorities. Knowledge of Danish VAT regulations and accounting software, such as Dynamics 365 F&O, will set you up for success in this role.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance.

• 3+ years’ experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

• Proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken); knowledge of Swedish is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of Danish VAT regulations and reporting requirements.

• Experience with accounting software; familiarity with Dynamics 365 F&O is an advantage.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment.
