Learning & Development Specialist

With atNorth being in a strong scale-up phase, we need to strengthen the P&C team with a proactive and experienced Learning & Development Specialist who wants to be part of building the foundation and the framework for this important area.
This role is part of the global P&C team and will work closely with managers and peers over the entire company. This role will report to the People Operations and Tech Manage in Sweden. We are a fast-growing company with a strong focus on innovation and people. Our HR team currently consists of 10 passionate professionals.
As we operate across several countries, occasional international travel will also be required, so it’s important that this suits your lifestyle. You should enjoy being in an international environment where you play an important role in developing practical, business-oriented training management processes. English is our company language, so you need to be fluent both verbally and in writing.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to combine two impactful areas: Learning & Development and HRIS.
Your primary focus will be to design and implement a strategic learning agenda that supports atNorth’s growth and empowers our employees. You will build an ISO-compliant learning framework, lead the training committee, and coordinate mandatory training requirements, ensuring that our learning initiatives both drive employee development and meet all compliance standards.
At the same time, you will support and develop our HR technology landscape (focus on our new LMS), ensuring data accuracy, digitalized workflows, and compliance. Your work will be central to delivering efficient processes and an excellent employee experience.
In this role, you will also be responsible for planning and running the company’s popular ‘Knowledge Sessions’ - structured and recurring information sessions with an educational purpose. These may cover anything from new processes to insights about what different teams do. The purpose is to engage and inspire.

Key Responsibilities in this role;
Partner to the Business
- Act as the focal point for all training-related questions and needs.
- Collaborate closely with Security & Compliance, HSE, P&C, Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure learning initiatives align with company strategy and operational priorities.
Learning & Training Management
- Establish and drive a strategic learning agenda and governance model.
- Lead and coordinate the training committee across key stakeholder groups.
- Identify, map, and prioritize training needs across the organization.
- Define mandatory vs. optional training requirements.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO and other regulatory standards.
- Create, design, oversee the creation, production, and updating of training content.
- Establish our strategic learning agenda and a Learning Committee.
- Design a development plan for new trainings — including whether to build in-house content or purchase vendor-based solutions.
- Create an annual training cycle covering onboarding, compliance, and continuous development.
Design & Delivery of Learning
- Design and deliver digital and blended learning solutions, including simulations, screen-capture tutorials, videos, and eLearning modules.
- Facilitate engaging live and virtual learning experiences across locations.
- Manage scheduling, attendance tracking, and logistics to ensure seamless experiences.
LMS & HRIS
- Own, manage, and further develop the company’s LMS.
- Drive adoption, usage, and digital learning maturity across teams.
- Optimize the LMS and secure strong integrations with other HR systems.
- Support digitalization of onboarding journeys and other HR processes.
- Evaluate external vendors and partners as needed.
- Ensure data quality and accurate employee information in HR systems.
What You Bring
- At least 5-7 years of experience in Learning & Development/Training management/Training coordination, ideally from a scale-up/tech environment where you have being the driver of building the framework and structure.
- You probably come with previous experience of working with training in relation to ISO standards.
- Experience in both strategic planning and hands-on execution of learning initiatives.
- Strong general technical skills and experience in LMS systems, content creator tools and digital HR processes.
- You have proven experience in sourcing and procuring training modules, including evaluating external providers, comparing offerings, and ensuring high-quality delivery. You are confident in negotiating contracts and pricing to secure the best value for the organization.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively while independently driving initiatives.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with LearnUpon is a strong plus.
Expected Deliverables the first 12 months;
- Established Learning Committee with a clear mandate.
- Strategic learning agenda for the company.
- Plan for content production and platform strategy (in-house vs. external).
- Mapped training needs per department.
- Produced or procured training content and implemented in the LMS.
- Structured mandatory and voluntary training framework.
- Annual learning calendar (onboarding, compliance, development journeys).
- Training modules and launch plans delivered.
- Clear communication to managers regarding mandatory training cycles, policy sign-offs, and renewal timelines.
