PMO Document Controller

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented PMO Document Controller to support atNorth’s Project Management Office (PMO) and ensure consistent, high‑quality documentation across all development projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing project documentation throughout its entire lifecycle—maintaining accuracy, structure, compliance, and alignment with internal procedures and contractual requirements.
You will play a key role in administering atNorth’s electronic document management system, establishing and maintaining document workflows, and ensuring that naming conventions, version control processes, and templates are consistently applied. As a central support resource, you will collaborate closely with project managers, design managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve document‑related issues, track deliverables, and promote best practices.
This position is vital to ensuring efficient collaboration and information flow across all phases of our projects—from early development through handover—by providing teams with the right tools, processes, and guidance to manage documentation effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage atNorth’s electronic document management system, including day‑to‑day administration and the setup of document workflows.
Tracking of deliverables to measure progress against planned information deliveries and ensure alignment with project milestones.
Ensure all documentation complies with project naming conventions, contractual requirements, and document control standards.
Support project teams with all document control activities across atNorth’s development projects.
Ensure that up‑to‑date templates, naming conventions, and checklists are created, maintained, and made available across all projects to support consistency.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams and external contractors on document control processes and electronic software systems.
Deliver ad‑hoc advice and user guidance on system usage, and manage access configuration to ensure appropriate permissions are maintained.
Provide expertise on document‑control best practices and facilitate consistent knowledge sharing across all project teams.
Facilitate collaboration between atNorth teams and contractors by ensuring correct access and maintaining efficient workflows.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures, contractual requirements, and certifications.
About You
Experience in document control or project administration within construction or data center development.
Strong understanding of document management systems and best practices.
Experience using document management systems such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM360.
PC literate with competency in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook
Ability to maintain standards and ensure compliance across multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills for training and supporting diverse teams.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
Comfortable working across multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast‑paced and busy environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a PMO or project delivery environment.
Technical knowledge of construction or engineering documentation.
Strong IT and digital collaboration skills.
Fluent in English; fluency in Icelandic language is a huge plus.
