Ideally you are located in Iceland, Denmark, Sweden or Finland and can work on-site from one of the atNorth's locations
Key responsibilities:
Support site selection activities for new developments, including identification of carriers, connectivity options, and ICT backbone feasibility.
Lead the ICT infrastructure design scope across all data centre projects, ensuring alignment with atNorth design principles, local standards, and customer requirements.
Provide design governance and oversight to ensure consistency, standardisation, and quality across projects and platforms.
Support projects from early concept design through detailed design and implementation.
Evaluate ICT designs with respect to time, cost, risk, scalability, and operational impact.
Act as the ICT design interface with customers, leading coordination and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and formal change control processes.
Perform design reviews and respond to RFIs using atNorth’s ACC platform.
Maintain horizontal reporting and close collaboration with the Director of IT within Operations.
Work closely with site operations teams to ensure designs are operationally sound and support long-term maintainability.
Collaborate with the Architect Engineer (AE) and other design disciplines.
Lead ICT coordination and customer change management activities.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to the leadership team on ICT infrastructure strategy and design decisions.
Your Profile:

5+ years’ IT experience, with a strong focus on network backbone infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of ICT architecture, infrastructure, and systems design.
Solid understanding of network backbone design, carrier connectivity, and ICT room infrastructure within data centres.
Skills
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to balance technical constraints, customer needs, and business priorities in a fast-paced development environment.
Structured, systems-thinking approach to complex design challenges.
Fluent in English; proficiency in a relevant Nordic language is preferred due to local regulatory requirements.
