Site Development Manager at atNorth
As a Site Development Manager at atNorth, you will be responsible for establishing and managing strong local stakeholder relationships in support of our data centre development projects. You will act as atNorth’s local representative, ensuring alignment between project objectives, regulatory requirements, and community interests throughout the development lifecycle.
The role plays a critical part in enabling successful project execution by supporting permitting and approvals, coordinating local communications and engagement, and preparing the foundation for future operations. Working closely with Development leadership, Corporate Communications, and delivery teams, you will help ensure that each site is developed responsibly, efficiently, and with long-term local commitment.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and manage relationships with local authorities, regulatory bodies, community leaders, and key stakeholders to enable successful site development.
Drive and support permitting, approval, and public consultation processes in close collaboration with development and delivery teams.
Act as atNorth’s local representative, ensuring transparent communication and strong alignment with communities and neighbours.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships that support both project development and atNorth’s long-term local presence.
Coordinate local communication and media activities in partnership with the corporate communications team.
Represent the company at local meetings, public forums, and relevant business or community events.
Provide insights and regular reporting to leadership on local risks, opportunities, and stakeholder dynamics.
Support the establishment of local operational foundations, including vendors, office setup, and support services.
Prepare the site for transition into full operations by ensuring continuity between development, construction, and future operations.
Your profile:
Education & Experience
Relevant academic background in business, public administration, communications, political science, or a related field.
Proven experience in site development, stakeholder management, public affairs, or community engagement, preferably within infrastructure, energy, real estate, or industrial projects.
Experience working with municipalities, regulatory bodies, and local communities.
Solid understanding of permitting processes, public consultation requirements, and local governance structures.
Skills
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
High stakeholder sensitivity and the ability to balance commercial objectives with public and community interests.
Confident public representative, comfortable speaking at meetings, events, and in media-related contexts.
Structured, proactive, and self-driven working style, able to manage multiple parallel workstreams.
Fluent in English and Swedish
