As we are experiencing strong momentum and continued growth in Finland, we are looking for another Senior People & Culture Manager to join our team in Finland with a strong local presence and deep understanding of the Finnish market, preferably based in or around the Kouvola area.
To support our growth journey, we believe you have at least 10 years of experience who wants to influence business success through people, leadership, and organizational excellence.
The Opportunity
As Senior People & Culture Manager, you will support our leaders and employees in Finland while contributing to the broader Nordic People agenda. You will work closely with business leaders to support growth, strengthen leadership capability, drive employee engagement and ensure a positive and high-performing work environment.
This role combines strategic business partnering with operational HR excellence. You will act as a trusted advisor on complex people matters while helping to build a scalable, sustainable, and people-centered organization.
In this role, you will also be expected to travel within the Nordics as needed to support leaders, teams, and cross-country People & Culture initiatives.
What You Will Be Doing
Strategic Business Partnering
Partner with leaders to align People initiatives with business objectives and organizational priorities.
Provide coaching and guidance on leadership, team effectiveness, performance, and organizational development.
Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design.
Challenge and support leaders in building high-performing and engaged teams.
Employee Relations & HR Advisory
Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, employment law, performance management, and workplace matters.
Provide guidance that balances business needs, employee experience, and legal compliance.
Identify and mitigate people-related risks.
Talent & Performance
Partner with leaders on talent acquisition for key positions.
Drive talent reviews, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
Facilitate development discussions and initiatives that strengthen organizational capability.
Help identify and develop future talent across the organization.
Culture, Engagement & Employee Experience
Champion atNorth’s culture, values, and leadership principles.
Drive employee engagement initiatives and support action planning based on employee feedback.
Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, wellbeing, and belonging across the organization.
Strengthen our employer brand and employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
Operational Excellence
Ensure people processes and policies are consistently implemented across the organization.
Analyze people metrics and provide data-driven insights to leaders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within People & Culture.
Support HR projects and contribute to Nordic-wide People initiatives.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across countries and functions to share best practices and ensure alignment.
Who You Are
You are an experienced and commercially minded trusted advisor who combines strong business understanding with a genuine passion for people and organizational development.
You are confident working with senior leaders, influencing decisions, and navigating complex situations with integrity and professionalism. You bring a pragmatic approach, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy helping organizations and people grow together.
You bring personal resilience, confidence, and the ability to stand firm when needed, while remaining approachable, trusted, and solution-oriented in your way of working.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within HR, People & Culture, or business partnering, preferably in a senior or leadership capacity.
Experience acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, ideally gained in a consulting company or advisory environment.
Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and leadership teams.
Previous experience as a people manager is appreciated
Strong employee relations and performance management experience.
Experience supporting organizational change, transformation, and business growth.
Solid knowledge of talent management, leadership development, and organizational development practices.
Excellent stakeholder management, coaching, and influencing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience in an international, technology, infrastructure, industrial, or high-growth environment is considered an advantage.
Fluency in English and Finnish, both written and spoken.
Strong local presence in Finland, preferably based in or around Kouvola area
Valid driver’s licence, with the ability and willingness to travel within the Nordics when required.
