Data Center Operator (DCO)
As we are expanding, we’re now looking for a Data Center Operator (DCO) to join our NOC team in Stockholm.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical background who thrives in a fast-paced 24/7 environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in ensuring operational excellence.
As a Data Center Operator, you will be responsible for running, monitoring, and maintaining atnorth’s datacenter operations. You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure system availability, manage alarms, resolve incidents, and secure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
The position is based on-site in Stockholm, working on a predefined shift schedule, as our Nordic Operations Center operates 24/7/365.
About the Role
As a Data Center Operator at atNorth, you will be responsible for monitoring infrastructure alarms related to power, cooling, temperature, and humidity to ensure stable and safe operations. You will also manage internal IT VLAN networks, including basic IT infrastructure, and create, handle, and prioritize trouble tickets in line with SLA requirements.
In this role, you will lead the escalation of high-severity operational incidents, communicate with customers, and work closely with site technicians to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with power and cooling systems. You will also support customers in resolving technical infrastructure queries, participate in commissioning and testing of new infrastructure, and report any malfunctions or irregularities to Site Management while dispatching resources for resolution.
Furthermore, you will be expected to deliver clear shift handover and operational status reports, manage both planned and emergency maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence standards. Finally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures, that enhance our overall operations.

· Knowledge of physical datacenter infrastructure and architecture.
· Familiarity with Change, Incident and Escalation Management processes.
· General knowledge of server, switch, and router hardware.
· Knowledge of power and cooling system design.
· Understanding of IT systems and IP network topology.
· Previous DCO or NOC experience is a plus.
Qualifications & skills
· Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
· Experience in IT, Telecommunications, or Facility Management.
· Ability to work in a 24/7 shift rotation.
· Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills under pressure.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Professional proficiency in English (Swedish is an advantage).
