atNorth is a leading Nordic data center company providing sustainable, high-performance computing and colocation solutions across Iceland, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
We design mission-critical ecosystems powered by 100% renewable energy and circular economy principles, staying ahead through a relentless focus on reliability, security, and performance.
We believe world-class technology requires a world-class culture. Our people-first mentality ensures that technical excellence and human wellbeing go hand in hand. Built on collaboration, ownership, and trust, our environment empowers individuals to take responsibility, grow their expertise, and make a real impact.
By joining our international team, you play a direct role in shaping the future of sustainable digital infrastructure while supporting the communities and industries we serve.
The Role:
We are looking for a People & Culture Specialist who will also serve as Team Lead for P&C Operations. In this dual-capacity role, you will be the driving force behind our operational efficiency, acting as a trusted partner for leaders and employees across our Nordic entities.
Based in Denmark, you will act as the local expert in Danish employment law and administration while coordinating regional workflows. You will report directly to the People Operations & Tech Manager, based in Stockholm, and work closely with colleagues across all Nordic countries in a dynamic, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operational Governance
Oversee the daily operational work within the P&C Operations group, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Coordinate, refine, and strengthen core operational areas, including governance, People Operations processes, and global mobility frameworks.
Manage the P&C inbox, ensuring that employee and leader inquiries are handled with professionalism, speed, and accuracy.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, driving the transition toward automated, end-to-end workflows and operational excellence.
Danish Local Expertise, Payroll & Compliance
Act as the local Danish expert in employment law, benefits structures, employer obligations, and regulatory compliance.
You will play a key role in close collaboration with the company’s Global Payroll Lead, ensuring seamless payroll coordination by securing accurate and timely data input while maintaining strong local expertise in payroll‑related information.
Manage Danish-specific requirements, including ferielov, pension schemes, insurance policies, and parental leave procedures.
Handle all necessary registrations and reporting to Danish authorities (eIndkomst, ATP, FERIE, barsel.dk).
Employee Lifecycle & Global Mobility
Draft employee agreements, manage pre-boarding documentation, and act as the first point of contact for new hires.
Support Global Mobility processes, ensuring compliance with EU regulations and Nordic labor laws (experience with the Øresund Agreement is a strong advantage).
Maintain and update the employee handbook in Confluence and ensure all employee files are stored securely and accurately.
Serve as an administrator for the HRM system, maintaining data integrity and generating necessary P&C KPIs and statistics.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should be a structured, solution-oriented individual who thrives in a leadership capacity and enjoys bringing clarity to complex operational challenges.
You have at least 7+ years of experience in P&C/HR operations, preferably within an international or Nordic-wide context.
Deep knowledge of Danish labor legislation, personnel administration, and HR systems is essential.
Experience working with outsourced payroll processes and external payroll vendors is merited.
You are comfortable taking the lead, making decisions, and representing the P&C function. You enjoy mentoring others and creating an environment where the team can perform at its best.
You have a high degree of digital fluency and a passion for using automation to reduce manual administrative burdens.
You are fluent in English and Danish (both written and spoken).
You handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and have a keen eye for detail.
