Commissioning Manager at atNorth
Are you an analytical, detail-oriented engineering leader with a passion for bringing complex, mission-critical infrastructure to life? As a Commissioning Manager at atNorth, you will lead and oversee all commissioning activities across our cutting-edge Nordic facilities. You will ensure full compliance with our stringent standards while seamlessly coordinating testing, documentation, vendor activities, and multi-stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Crucially, this position also serves as the Functional Lead across our other operating countries. In this expanded capacity, you will drive a consistent, unified, and highly coordinated commissioning effort across all atNorth projects regional-wide, ensuring that best practices, standardization, and lessons learned are seamlessly cross-pollinated throughout our international footprint.
Operating as a critical quality gatekeeper and regional anchor, you will maintain complete ownership of commissioning deliverables, drive Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) workflows, and guide our General Contractors (GC) and Commissioning Authorities (CxA) through vital energization, load banking, and integrated systems testing (IST) milestones.
Key responsibilities:
Act as the functional lead to unify, standardize, and coordinate commissioning processes across all operating countries, ensuring a consistent and high-quality delivery framework portfolio-wide.
Lead the execution of atNorth’s Commissioning Manual and test scripts. Review design documentation and technical submittals to identify project-specific nuances and integrate specialized parameters into our testing library.
Attend Factory Witness Tests (FWT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as required. Oversee First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) equipment delivery inspections, assembly, and Red, Yellow, and Green Tag verification stages.
Act as the system owner for the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) platform. Manage asset and system creation, log issues, enforce compliance with the ACC manual, and provide platform training to external stakeholders.
Review the GC’s commissioning schedules, load banking strategies, and energization plans. Support procurement efforts regarding load bank resources and define the explicit scope for external Commissioning Authorities.
Review Level 4 (Component/System) and Level 5 (Integrated Systems Testing) scripts, evaluate BMS trending data, and witness critical site testing to ensure the finalized reports meet exact standards.
Your profile:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or alternatively 10+ years of direct experience backed by relevant electrical/HVAC certifications.
Proven track record acting as a Commissioning Manager or Senior Engineer within mission-critical environments, with a deep grasp of L4/L5 methodologies, load bank planning, and BMS trending.
Demonstrated ability or clear readiness to act as a functional lead across international borders, aligning cross-functional teams and standardizing practices across multiple regions.
Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and challenge complex electrical and mechanical design drawings, paired with a solid understanding of controls and monitoring systems.
High proficiency in Microsoft 365 and hands-on, practical experience managing workflows inside Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage intricate technical workflows and maintain high standards under strict construction and delivery deadlines.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in any local Nordic language is considered a distinct merit. Willingness to travel to site locations across the Nordics to drive regional consistency is expected.
