About the Role:
The Controls Subject Matter Expert (SME) will optimize the delivery and operation of our Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure it is completed on time, is safe, robust, reliable, and conforms to our design and quality requirements. Supporting internal cross-functional teams, support installation and commissioning efforts at the project level, oversee quality, and quickly be able to adapt in an evolving space. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. The Controls Subject Matter Expert will also be responsible for procedure-based controls equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, training, and project oversight. The SME will support data center daily operations and global quality/standardization initiatives and will have a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance as subject matter experts on Construction site activities and Operational support to the sites.
- Perform BMS inspections (wiring, installation, and commissioning) and validate the status/progress of the projects including
- supporting the project teams, both internal and external.
- Review operating equipment data for efficiency improvements, monitor all building systems for abnormal operating trends, and make
- optimization adjustments accordingly.
- Coordinate and manage both packaged equipment factory installed controls audits and BMS commissioning audits to ensure
- specification/requirement adherence and track identified deficiencies through completion.
- Provide technical controls training and support to all Operations staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the datacenter.
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and report on maintenance metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure that the work environment meets or exceeds all industry standards and company policies for safety and cleanliness
About You:
You are a hands-on professional with solid experience in Building Management Systems, who understands electrical and mechanical systems in data center environments. Ideally you already cover experience in maintenance, inspections, and project oversight and have a strong grasp of QA/QC processes, equipment data analysis, and packaged equipment controls.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive knowledge in BMS and control systems
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BMS systems design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Proven experience in data center operations or similar critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing BMS systems.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience managing vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Automation, or a related technical field.
- A proactive approach to team training, quality assurance, and proces standardization.
- Proficiency in both English and Danish is essential for this role.
- Background check is conducted for all our employees.
