If you’re passionate about optimizing electrical systems and contributing to the success of a leading data center company, this role offers a unique opportunity to make an impact.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Nordic Electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead electrical systems operations across our data center sites in the Nordic region. As the electrical systems expert, you will oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and training, ensuring compliance with atNorth standards and industry best practices. With expertise in Low and Medium Voltage power distribution, electrical protection and control systems, UPS and battery systems, and generator operations, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our electrical infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include supporting design reviews, commissioning, and project audits, while also driving team training and development to enhance efficiency and alignment across all sites. You’ll collaborate closely with the Design and Development teams, facilitating seamless handover processes for the Operations teams. While some duties involve hands-on site visits, others, such as design reviews, documentation, and audits, can be handled remotely.
At first, you’ll be spending a few days each week at the FIN04 site in Kouvola. Over time, you’ll need to travel there less often.
About You:
You are a technical expert with in-depth knowledge of electrical systems and their integration within data center environments. You excel at combining practical field experience with strategic oversight to maintain system integrity, efficiency, and compliance. You are proactive, collaborative, and committed to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across the Nordic region.
Requirements:
- Proven expertise in Low and Medium Voltage power distribution, UPS, and generator systems.
- Broad experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and electrical safety programs.
- Strong educational background in electrical engineering.
- S1 qualification.
- Ideally working experience in the data center field.
- A proactive approach to team training, quality assurance, and process standardization.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems to ensure cohesive infrastructure management.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the Nordic region.
This is a permanent role and candidates must be eligible to work in Finland as well as be located within commuting distance from our Finnish sites. Background check is conducted for all our employees.
