Operations Engineer at atNorth:

We are looking for a dedicated Operations Engineer to join our operations team and ensure the highest standards of availability, efficiency, and safety across our mission-critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on role, maintaining and repairing systems such as UPS, cooling, and HVAC, while supporting both internal teams and customers with exceptional service.

You will be responsible for operational excellence in our data centers—from preventive maintenance to on-call emergency response—ensuring that our facilities meet the highest industry standards and atNorth’s own rigorous processes. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will help drive scalability, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on operations and maintenance for all facility systems, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

• Maintain rigorous compliance within power and asset management systems.

• Respond swiftly to facility emergencies using established procedures to mitigate risks.

• Proactively monitor and maintain data center equipment to identify potential issues before they occur.

• Deliver professional "smart hands" services and customer support, including hardware installations.

• Ensure the work environment consistently meets or exceeds atNorth’s safety and cleanliness standards.

• Participate in a 24/7 shift work rotation to maintain round-the-clock operational integrity.

• Contribute to team OKRs and actively engage in continuous self-development and learning.

Your profile:

• Proven experience with mission-critical facilities and equipment, specifically UPS, cooling, and HVAC systems.

• Strong understanding of scalable, robust processes and a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.

• Comfortable working with vendors and contractors, ensuring all work meets atNorth’s high standards.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a deep-seated commitment to safety and compliance.

• Technical or engineering qualification in a relevant field (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).

• Previous experience in a data center environment or a similar high-availability industrial setting.

• Fluent in English, with proficiency in a Nordic language considered a significant advantage.
