AI Solutions Engineer at atNorth
We are looking for an AI Solutions Engineer who can turn defined use cases into reliable, production-ready solutions. In this role, you will take technical ownership of AI implementations from early design through deployment and ongoing optimisation, ensuring solutions deliver consistent value over time.
You will design and build AI-powered solutions such as agents, copilots and workflow automations, working closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable implementations. From selecting the right models, prompting strategies and retrieval patterns, to integrating solutions with internal systems and data sources, you will play a central role in bringing AI capabilities into real business use.
We expect you to ensure that solutions are robust, secure and fit for purpose, with appropriate evaluation, guardrails and monitoring in place. You will also take responsibility for maintaining and improving solutions after launch, using real-world performance, user feedback and evolving risks to continuously enhance quality, reliability and impact.
Key responsibilities:
• Designing and delivering AI-powered solutions end-to-end, from prototype through pilot to production-ready implementation, ensuring reliability and measurable business value
• Applying the right AI approaches for each use case, including models, prompting strategies, retrieval patterns and orchestration design
• Defining and implementing evaluation methods, tests and success criteria to ensure solution quality before and after deployment
• Building secure, reliable and compliant solutions, including guardrails, fallback mechanisms and human-in-the-loop controls where needed
• Integrating AI solutions with internal systems, data sources and workflows using approved platforms, APIs and tools
• Taking technical ownership of the performance and supportability of deployed solutions, including monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation and documentation
• Collaborating closely with business, data and IT teams to translate use cases into scalable, production-ready implementations
• Contributing to reusable components, templates and best practices to accelerate future AI solution development
• Supporting user enablement and internal capability building around AI tools, platforms and solution usage
Your profile:
• Strong hands-on experience in software engineering, automation or applied AI, with a track record of delivering solutions into production
• Solid understanding of modern AI solution patterns, such as LLMs, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) or AI agents
• Experience integrating systems and working with APIs, data sources and workflow automation tools
• Ability to design robust, reliable solutions with a focus on quality, security and long-term maintainability
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to choose the right technical approach based on real business needs
• Ownership mindset with the ability to manage and improve solutions throughout their lifecycle
• Comfortable working in a fast-evolving environment with emerging technologies and changing requirements
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent in English
